sunnotes

a small place for photographs of daylight.

every photo is dithered down to almost nothing, lives on one small server, and slowly fades away over a month — like a photocopy taped in a sunny window. the words you write about each photo stay forever.

sunnotes is open in the daytime and closed at night. it is invite-only: someone who is already here has to hand you a code.

this entire site resides on elliott's server, and every image resides there too — small, dithered, and slowly fading. sunnotes are sun-bleached away over 31 days; only the words remain. built with HTML, CSS, vanilla JavaScript, EJS, Node, and SQLite. open in the daytime only.
